The sun sets on the time of the french girl.

Well, a few important steps have happened since we late updated.   For starters, we had our pipes and wall inspected and it all looks good.   The inspector had a few things he wanted me to add, but other than that, it all looks good.    We should have a followup inspection this week.

Before the inspector came out, we wanted to get as much looking nice as we could.   Figured it couldnt hurt his opinion if the house was looking better.   So we attacked the downstairs bathroom, and in 1 quick day we took out the old toilet, ripped up the rotten floorboards, replaced them, laid new subfloor, laid new linoleum, painted the wall behind the toilet which had never been painted in its entire life, installed the new toilet and the bathroom looks pretty darned good.  

Which leads us to Effie.  Her flight was this weekend and she's currently in France.   My ticket is for March 6th, and until that time, I'm going to be trying to get everything done solo, or with the help of Ryan and Dad.   So from here on out I'll be trying to make daily updates as a way of keeping Effie updated on whats going on.  Expect the format to be a little more "just the facts" from here on out.    For example, its midnight and I'm just now starting the blog for today.   :)
